The Al Zahra Islamic Center was founded in 2014 with the vision of creating a truly inclusive community of muslim brothers and sisters in Jacksonville, Florida.

We welcome people from all walks of life and cultures to Islam’s message of oneness of god ( Tawhid)  and the straight path ( sirat al-mustaqim).

Imam as-Sadiq (‘a)  said: “Verily, there are various degrees of serving Allah, but affection (and cordial inclination) for us, Ahlul Bayt, is the highest one.”

The center prides itself in being the only multicultural Shia center in whole of Jacksonville providing a precious spiritual space to celebrate our common love of Rasoolallah (swas) and his pure progeny, Ahlul Bayt (pbut).

The Holy Prophet (S) said: “Make your gatherings lively with the remembrance of ‘Ali-ibn-Abi-Talib.” (Talk about the excellencies of ‘Ali (‘a)).

The center offers year-round dedicated programs on specific religious dates/months and occasions and conducts spiritual gatherings to commemorate the wiladat/ shahadat of our beloved Masumeen. 

The center has a dedicated resident scholars (Aalim) Maulana Syed Abuzar Shirazi and Maulana Haleemi who lead the programs in Urdu/ English/Arabic languages respectively.

The Holy Prophet (S) said: “Train your children in three things: the love of your Prophet, the love of his progeny, i.e. Ahlul Bayt, and recitation of the Qur’an.”
